Equally Safe at School

Equally Safe at School is a Rape Crisis Scotland initiative, developed for secondary schools to help them take a whole school approach to preventing violence against women and girls. The short animation gives an insight into sexual harassment in schools and is designed to encourage discussion on the issues of gender based violence.

Produced by media co-op, the script was developed with an advisory group of young people and gives real insight into typical school attitudes towards sexual harassment.

Storyboard, design and animation

After our initial storyboard, we worked with illustrator Barry Thomson to draw up the characters and the scenes before bringing them to life in the animation.
